Resolve to exercise your mind in 2016
ARLINGTON, TEXAS, Jan. 1, 2016 — American Mensa, the high-IQ organization, is encouraging the public to make a resolution for a healthier brain. “Cognitive well-being improves our lives, and it becomes even more crucial as we age,” said American Mensa’s Supervisory Psychologist, Dr. Frank Lawlis.
American Mensa is offering its Online Mensa Practice Test for just $1 in the month of January. Visit americanmensa.org/mht to get yours today. This test is a great way to exercise your brain and is designed to give you a preview of what it is like to take the official Mensa qualifying test. The test is regularly priced at $18.
Here are some additional tips to help keep your brain fit:
- Learn a new skill. Learn to speak a new language or play a musical instrument.
- Play a game. Pick one that requires strategy, such as chess or bridge.
- Practice yoga. It helps sharpen your memory and improves focus.
