Julie Clark,
Volunteer Programs Manager
Julie Clark became American Mensa's first Volunteer Programs Manager in February 2012. She is the liaison to 130+ Local Groups, providing feedback on local activities and recommending solutions to groups' needs, questions and/or development issues such as volunteer recruitment, finances, programming, member retention, etc. Additionally, she manages the data and files relating to all Local Group officers and report distribution, and monitors group activities online and through group newsletters and communication from members.
Julie is liaison to a number of our volunteer programs, including Leadership Development, where she facilitates training for local officers and collaborates with the committee to develop additional training resources for officers as needed. In addition, she works with the Bylaws and Awards committees and CultureQuest®.
Similar to her responsibilities for American Mensa’s Local Groups, Julie works with American Mensa's 150+ Special Interest Groups, maintaining SIG information, communicating with the SIG Coordinators and responding to questions from the membership about SIGs.
Julie has more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, working as a staff partner to local and national volunteers.
